An exceptional single malt matured in three equally exceptional casks. Using a three cask maturation, The Dalmore The Trio is a captivating marriage of rare and exceptional casks. The liquid is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is apportioned between first fill ex-bourbon casks, 10 year old Tawny port pipes and 30 year old Matusalem sherry casks. The three parts are then brought back together to harmonise.
